MICHAEL'S LOOKING TO AIDS CHALLENGE
The 19-year-old flagship for Worthing's worryingly meagre new generation of players marked his arrrival in County Championship bowls with his Middleton Cup debut on Saturday. It was a successful one, too. But by the end of the season he expects to be quite a different person.
On July 4 he will be leaving Tarring Priory Bowling Club. To work voluntarily for 23 days in the French-speaking Cameroon with six other young local young people. One of their main activities will be working for 10 days with children orphaned by AIDS.
