A road in the Old Town will be closed this week, the council has announced.
Hastings Borough Council said Rock-a-Nore Road will be shut from the fish market from 8pm tomorrow (Thursday, March 9) until 6am Friday (March 10).
The authority said this is to allow essential work to be carried out on the East Hill Lift.

Hide AdA spokesperson said: “The work on the East Hill lift has had to be postponed by one night. Rock-a-Nore Road will now be closed from the fishmarket from 8pm Thursday until 6am Friday to allow essential work to be carried out on the East Hill lift. This will prevent access to/from properties at the eastern end of Rock-a-Nore, and Rock-a-Nore car park, from 8pm Thursday evening.”
